Enroll for Kindergarten through 5th Grades

We are proud to let you know that Sanchez has made excellent growth over the last several years. We were so excited to know that our academic growth is better than 99% of the schools that have the same kind of demographics throughout California. As an AVID school, our students learn to take notes, organize their work, visit colleges, and learn the skills that will prepare them for a great future. We also believe in ensuring our students are global citizens that are technologically, socially and emotionally prepared. We have computers and IPads in every classroom. Additionally, all students in 3rd through 5th grades have an individual IPad they use throughout their school day. Our students engage in fieldtrips for enrichment that include going away to camp for four days for our 5th graders, going to museums and other fun places. We have a truly loving, supportive and talented staff and community. Our parents are a strong part of our community. Our parents are extremely involved in PTA, ELAC and School Site Council.

Feel free to click on the title above to enroll today. You're also welcome to call our office between 9:00-11:00 if you need any help at (562)926-2365. By the way, we are happily accepting permits at this time.

We're hopeful you and your child(ren) will become part of our wonderful community!

Summer Learning

Click on the heading to find some fun summer learning activities for students and for parents.

We are College Bound!

As an AVID school, our students learn organizational skills; skills that emphasize WICOR strategies (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization and Reading skills as well as different structures to help them think critically and to collaborate with each other. We are committed to preparing our students for having the skills that they'll need to be successful in school on their way to college.

Technology Integration

All students in grades pre-K through 5th grade are provided with daily opportunities to strengthen their technology skills. Every classroom has desktops and printers for student use. Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade have Chromebooks and IPads to use during small group projects and instruction. Students in 3rd through 5th grades have an IPad that is assigned to each individual student until the end of the school year to use in class.

Students use technology to support their learning in all the academic areas as well as to create assignments and presentations. There's no doubt that we are well equipped and well trained to prepare students with 21st Century Skills!

Cyber Safety Alert!

There is an app out there known as Ogle that everyone needs to be aware of. Essentially, Ogle is an app that allows anyone to “anonymously” post anything that they want about any school they choose – including ours. Schools across the nation are reporting inappropriate posts on Ogle that vary between cyber bullying of other students, nudity and drug use photos being published and shaming of classmates, administrators and staff. There are other apps out there like this; however, Ogle seems to be the most popular right now.

We are asking for parents to take steps to ensure that their students do not have the Ogle app on their phone, and that they do not access it. We are also asking parents to have discussions with their students about using the internet and social media websites appropriately.

Please click the headline for a link to a great video about the Ogle app that includes important steps that both parents and students should take to protect themselves from it.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
